Star Micronics Micro Machining
SV12
The SV12 is a multi-axis and multi-group control machine
compatible for highly accurate complex machining of small parts
and difficult to cut materials, allowing the creation of high
additional values in products.
Powerful versatile for the machining of nickel alloys,
titanium, stainless steel used in medical, aircraft and other
industries. Well suited to machine complicated shapes where the
combination of the main/sub-spindle C-axis control and diverse
tool units (thread whirling, broaching, screw milling, polygon
turning) allows diverse secondary machining.
Additionally suited to the machining of small diameter holes,
and small diameter drilling using the 12,000rpm high-speed
power-driven tool.
By using the high-pressure coolant (6.9MPa or more *), small
diameter deep drilling can also be carried out. The high-pressure
coolant specifications are optional.
ECAS 12/20
Star's original motion control system facilitates driving of
high-speed oriented machine configuration equipped with
counter-face gang tool post +4-axis ATT.
Improved turning performance exceeds that of conventional CNC
machines, increasing productivity and reducing cycle time. Using
the Star motion control system, tool selection is optimised and
the accommodation of of continuous, smooth tool path control cam
be achieved without interference, slowing or stopping.
Machine construction completely separates front and back
machining. In this way the productive division of processes is
optimised which reduces machining time significantly.
By controlling both longitudinal and vertical movements of the
tool posts during counter-facing while using the main spindle
reduces idle time appreciatively. This also makes the simultaneous
machining of selected operations feasible. Again this reduces
cutting time and delivers marked improvement in productivity.

STOP THE PRESS!
Realtek signs exclusive deal with
Crestec, Japan's leading manufacturer of High
Resolution E-Beam Lithography technology.
At a recent workshop held at MINIFAB
2008, Crestec's president and sales manager introduced
their advanced E-Beam technology to a packed audience. They
also announced that an exclusive distribution agreement had been
reached with Realtek Technologies for the Australasia region.
REALTEK RECEIVES AN ORDER
FOR AUSTRALIA'S FIRST NANO SCALE MACHINING CENTRE
The Kira SuperMill-2M has a positional
accuracy of 10nm with a 50,000rpm main spindle and it's 160,000rpm
finishing spindle offers tool makers and researchers alike an
outstanding next generation machine tool capability.
This new technology developed in
collaboration with Tokyo University will be delivered to UniSA early
in 2009.
RETOOLING THE MINING SECTOR
Realtek has traditionally been seen as
a market leader in the small end of machine tool technology.
However, in the 2007/2008 period we have been very active in the
large scale retooling of the mining sector.
